Thirteen Months

Thirteen Months

The story of six people through thirteen months, starting September 2011, going on right now.

These characters are not perfect. Some of them use some words that some people might find offensive. They are solely themselves and not portraits of anyone in the real world. This is not a roman a clef, but a mash-up drawing on many sources, constructed using imagination.

The outcome’s not fixed until it’s here, on the blog. Tell me what you want to happen – and tell me if I’ve got something wrong – no promises, but it’s work in progress and open to change.

Part 7 – March

Chris tries to face up to a leap-year hang-over … Poppy and Lucian fail to do her homework … Hugo talks to Zac about his boat and his daughter … Janice is making trouble for Sarah

Thirteen months – March

Part 6 – February

Poppy gets a Valentine card she doesn’t want … Lucy goes out for the first time ever … Chris gets closer to Celine …Hugo helps Sarah with her nomination forms, while Janice gets nasty

Thirteen Months – February

Part 5 – January

Sarah is the selected candidate for Holtham,  but what’s Janice up to?…Lucian is close to the edge…and what’s annoyed Jenny’s mother enough to cancel her eleventh birthday party?

Thirteen Months – January

Part 4 – December

Many are called but few chosen – Lucian makes it to interview for a place at Oxford University. … Will Leonie spend Christmas with Caro – or hospital visiting? … Bad timing: how Chris’s ex-wife wrecks Christmas Eve by giving him what he wants.

Thirteen Months – December

Part 3 – November FiTs are hit and Sarah has to turn round a disgruntled Party member before her selection meeting; Poppy has her 17th birthday, and combats poppy fascism; Leonie has something worth worrying about.

Thirteen Months – November

Part 2 – October Poppy finds it hard to settle into Charleminster Sixth Form College; Lucian wants to be a girl; Sarah tries to get going as a Libdem activist, supported by Hugo; Chris, divorced father of two, is lonely.

Thirteen Months – October

Part 1 – September Lucian and Poppy, two odd young people; Hugo looks forward to a bye-election; Poppy drops in on Chris; and independent-minded Sarah goes to an Approval Meeting.
